WORK SCOPE:

  • REMOVAL OF EXISTING SHORELINE PROTECTION, EXCAVATION TO REAR OF SEAWALL

  • INSTALLATION OF GROUND ANCHORS TO TIE BACK EXISTING SEAWALL

  • INSTALLATION OF VINYL SHEETPILES TO TOE OF EXISTING WALL

  • FORM AND CAST CONCRETE TO NEW BOTTOM STEP

  • ROCK BEACHING AND PROTECTION TO CULVERT OUTFALL

  • BEACH NOURISHMENT

ANTI SCOUR ROCK PROTECTION 

 

 

Vinyl Sheet pile installation

Equipment used:

  • 7.8t excavator for excavation

  • Sheet Pile Vibrator

Application: 

  • Support for new seawall footing

  • Prevents scour of sand behind the wall

 

 

Ground anchor installation

Equipment used:

  • 7.8t excavator for excavation

  • 4t excavaator with rock hammer

  • 30t jack for post instalation tensioning

  • 5t jack for lock off loads

Application: 

  • Support for existing seawall

  • Prevents longditudinal moment

 

Concreting in the inter tidal zone

Works Completed:

  • 120m and 105m sections of two teir step

  • Culvert base with 500mm of rock

Solutions to tidal interference: 

  • Sheet pile bund wall to allow longer working times

  • Organisation of work around out going tides
